This collection of short stories is especially useful for Sinhala literature teachers and students. It includes twenty stories written by Wickramasinghe over thirty years, starting from the first Sri Lankan realistic short story collection "Gaheniyak" published in 1924. It also contains several delightful stories from his novels such as Madol Doova, Ape Gama, and Rohini.
The collection was compiled by Lal Premahaththa Mal, who also contributed an excellent introduction to Wickramasinghe's literary contribution.
